My name is Zachary Khan and I’m a political and economic activist and organizer. I originally took this class as an Economics major but have since switched to Anthropology with minors in Economic Policy and Foreign Affairs. Information Systems is important for all three subject and more. Without the knowledge of excel, word-press and domain building, photo-shop, and the many other useful tools we’ve learned, the world of politics would be very, very different. With Information Systems I can build websites for movements and build databases in excel. I can also build applications like the Voter Access Network (VAN) which provides the data backbone for many political campaigns and organizations. I intend to finish my degree only to return to community college to begin a foundation in STEM and Computer Science classes. In the future, I hope to build apps, design platforms, and create websites for political and economic organizations in the US and overseas.
